Overview

This Temporary Learning Consultant engagement runs through June 30, 2027 and provides learning consulting capacity for assigned enterprise initiatives. The temporary employee will support defined learning and development work in partnership with L&D, subject matter experts, HR/TM partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.

 

Services may include stakeholder consultation, learning strategy development, instructional design, facilitation, course material development, project planning, program logistics, communications, learning technology coordination, evaluation support, and continuous improvement recommendations. Work will be delivered within agreed-upon scope, timelines, and quality expectations.

You Will

  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, subject matter experts, HR partners, and colleagues.
  • Facilitate discussions on development strategies, learner engagement, and talent development best practices with stakeholders on portfolio projects
  • Contribute to a collaborative community of Learning Consultants by sharing ideas, building capabilities, and advancing learning consulting practices together.
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify business challenges, capability needs, desired outcomes, and success measures.
  • Recommend evidence-informed learning and non-learning solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate virtual instructor-led, blended, and self-paced learning experiences and solutions that apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, and incorporate continuous development practices.
  • Develop courses, learning paths, curated content collections, job aids, and other resources.
  • Facilitate engaging and learner-centered virtual experiences.
  • Lead projects from analysis through implementation and evaluation.
  • Create project plans, reflecting scope, timelines, dependencies, roles and responsibilities, and planned deliverables and/or outcomes.
  • Coordinate activities across stakeholders and project team members.
  • Document and communicate project status, risks, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple priorities while ensuring quality, responsiveness, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Update project workload indicators in tracking systems to show capacity, communicate progress, and support informed decision-making.
  • Establish success measures and strategies to evaluate the impact of learning initiatives.
  • Analyze learner and business leader feedback, performance insights, and business outcome data to inform recommendations and continuous improvements.
  • Support learning technologies, learning management systems, and digital learning platforms.
  • Maintain learning records, reports, communications, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable continuing education, regulatory, accreditation, or organizational standards where applicable.

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design or technology, adult education, organizational development, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience consulting with stakeholders to identify learning and development needs, recommend practical solutions, and support firmwide learning initiatives.
  • 5+ years’ experience applying adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning consulting practices to design and deliver a variety of learning solutions in corporate settings.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating across functions, and facilitating productive discussions with leaders and teams.
  • Proficiency with virtual collaboration technologies, Microsoft 365 applications, learning management systems, and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise and Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar).
  • Strong skills in facilitation, project management, communication, presentation, and organization.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional partners.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and strengths-based work environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in professional services, accounting, or other knowledge-based industries.
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering AI learning solutions in partnership with subject matter experts.
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credential

Compensation Details

The hourly rate for this role is $43.00-$52.00 per hour. This rate range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final rate may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The hourly rate for the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
