Overview

BerryDunn is seeking a Staff Consultant - Project Coordinator to join the Medicaid Practice Group. As a Staff Consultant, you will accelerate your professional and personal growth through learning and collaborating with Medicaid Practice Group leaders. In this role you will learn to provide services to State Medicaid Agencies as they work to manage and mature their programs. 

 

As a Staff Consultant - Project Coordinator you will initially be responsible for meeting preparation and follow-up, meeting notes, maintenance of the project's SharePoint site and related project logs, and support for project deliverables. Your initial duties will include taking and distributing meeting notes; tracking action items, issues, risks, and decisions; supporting the development of PowerPoint presentations; preparing and distributing meeting agendas; and supporting the development of project deliverables. 

 

The successful candidate will be expected to learn quickly, be flexible, prioritize with ease, and be a great team player. Excellent relationship and communication skills are vital to the success of this role. 

 

Travel Expectations:  This role requires travel up to 25% of the time with additional flexibility to travel as client needs arise. 

You Will

  • Provide project coordination support
  • Perform a wide variety of analytical tasks with continuous improvement of processes, personnel, organization, system or training
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and notes
  • Collaborate with team to develop project deliverables
  • Track, monitor, and maintain project action items, decisions, risks, and issues within project logs
  • Maintain awareness of project status
  • Support engagement-wide communications
  • Proactively participate in team and client related meetings
  • Manage project SharePoint site
  • Perform assigned administrative tasks efficiently and effectively 
  • Uphold firm quality standards
  • Establish and achieve development and performance goals
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain existing clients and attain new business 
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives 
  • Work toward obtaining appropriate professional certifications.

You Have

  • A BA/BS/MS Degree in Political Science, Public Health, Economics, Management Information Systems, Health Care Management, or Business
  • Experience in a professional work setting
  • Understanding of general Medicaid, HHS, and IT concepts
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills for balancing multiple assignments and achieving quality results in a timely manner
  • Proactive, positive, and eager attitude
  • Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $65,000 - $75,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
