Are you a strategic storyteller who thrives on balancing structure with creativity?
BerryDunn is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and success-oriented Senior Proposal Writer to join our growing Business Development team. In this role, you will lead the development of high-impact proposals that help drive the firm’s growth—working collaboratively and aligning to best practices to craft compelling, compliant, and visually engaging content that reflects our firm’s value and culture.
Our ideal candidate will produce high quality documents that blend templated structure with custom messaging— someone who is organized and adaptable, with the confidence to navigate structured processes, as well as creativity to push boundaries. In this role, you will manage multiple priorities and deadlines with professional poise, communicate clearly and effectively, and continually seek feedback to improve work quality and efficiency.
This is more than just a writing role—it’s a chance to shape how BerryDunn tells its story, wins meaningful work, and makes a lasting impact for our clients. This position reports to a Business Development Senior Manager and can be based in our Portland, ME office, another BerryDunn location, or remotely in select cases.
If you’re curious, driven, and ready to help us grow, we’d love to hear from you.
The base salary range targeted for this role is $70,000 - $90,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
