Overview

BerryDunn’s Management and IT Consulting Group (MITG) is seeking a dynamic and relationship-oriented Client Relationship Development Lead to drive business growth. In this new role, you will focus on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospect opportunities while leveraging thought leadership, networking, outbound sales outreach, and participation in industry forums and events to establish lasting partnerships and expand our firm’s reach. A strong focus will be on developing relationships in new geographic markets for existing firm services. Prospective client industries primarily include healthcare, with secondary focus areas in higher education and commercial sectors.

 

Travel Expectation: Travel to conferences and prospective client sites can reach 50%.

You Will

Be responsible for:

 

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with prospective clients, industry leaders, and referral networks to uncover business opportunities.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough research to identify target prospects, industries, and market trends.
  • Thought Leadership & Outreach: Collaborate with MITG practice group to promote the firm’s expertise through thought leadership, including contributing to content development, blogs, and webinars.
  • Event Participation: Represent the firm at networking events, industry forums, conferences, and trade shows. Serve as a brand ambassador by engaging attendees, hosting discussions, and exhibiting at booths. Conduct pre-planning outreach to set meetings, during event outreach to make connections, and post-event follow up to move leads into the pipeline.
  • Lead Generation: Execute targeted outreach strategies via email, calls, social selling, and in-person events to generate high-quality leads.
  • Prospect Engagement: Qualify leads, assess prospect needs, and coordinate introductions for the practice group team to ensure meaningful follow-up.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the MITG practice group and practices and marketing teams to align strategies and identify opportunities for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Performance Tracking: Track and report on pipeline activity, lead conversion rates, and event outcomes using Salesforce.

You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other comparable degree.
  • Required experience in a sales role in healthcare, and preferred experience in commercial or higher education industries.
  • Proven experience in lead generation, market development, or business development, ideally within professional services or software sales (e.g., EHR, ERP, etc.).
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage at industry events and forums.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), lead generation tools, and event management platforms.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for connecting with people and identifying new opportunities.

Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
