The ATAT Applications Specialist works within our Assurance, Tax & Advisory Team (ATAT) Services Support Team and will interact with staff of all levels across all Practice Groups within ATAT and IT/Operations. An IT or software background is not required for this role. We welcome candidates from administrative or paraprofessional backgrounds who have a passion for technology and enjoy solving problems. This role requires a self-starter and a team player with strong problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills. The role will actively oversee software administration and support for ATAT’s software needs and integration with associated systems and software, as well as developing and/or maintaining appropriate documentation related to these processes. The ideal candidate may also identify ideas for continual improvement to these related work processes and make suggestions to their supervisor. Eventually, the candidate will be proficient enough to demonstrate basic navigation skills within the software to new hires. This position will be based out of one of the following offices: Portland, ME -  Waltham, MA - Bangor, ME - Manchester, NH.

Travel Expectations: May require periodic travel to Firm office locations and pertinent learning events and conventions.

• Actively oversee software support and administration for ATAT-specific software, including, but not limited to:
• • Fixed Assets, Caseware, CCH Engagement
  • This includes licensing and renewals, database maintenance, troubleshooting user support and acting as the technical liaison with vendors and internal IT staff.
  • Administer software upgrades and conversions and coordinate integration activities associated with business mergers and acquisitions.

• Provide back-up support to the tax applications support specialist with software support and administration for the following software, including, but not limited to:
• Tax Only Software: CCH Axcess – including Tax/Document/ Workflow, BNA Income Tax Planner, MFPCO (Mutual Funds), Bloomberg Tax
• This may include licensing and renewals, database maintenance, user support and acting as the technical liaison with vendors and internal IT staff.
• Document work processes and workflows, drive standardization around best practices, and lead continual improvement efforts for greater efficiency and higher quality.
• Prepare communications to teams regarding any updates or changes to software, when needed.
• Assist with training/supporting staff as directed and in coordination with the appropriate Practice Group Leaders.
• Become an active member of the ATAT Innovation Solutions Committee, listening to team updates and bring any pertinent software information to share with the Committee.
• Owner of the ATAT Software tracker – tracking renewals, yearly costs, etc.

• An Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
• Proficient with O365 Apps (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• A strong comfort with technology and software systems, and natural curiosity about how they can best be deployed to support the business
• Effective organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple levels of the organization

The hourly rate for this role is $30-$33 per hour. This rate range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting.
