Overview

BerryDunn, a national consulting firm, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Office Manager to be responsible for the planning, organizing, controlling and administration of the day-to-day operations of our office in Bangor, ME.  Reporting to the Director of Facilities and working closely with several on site tax and audit professionals. This position will assist the firm's DOF to reinforce firm and office policies and procedures, work with suppliers and vendors, and provide administrative support to multiple accountants to ensure timely completion of client work. 

You Will

  • Monitor actual expenses relative to budget. 
  • Supervise office time and report functions. 
  • Negotiate and oversee the selection and purchase of office furniture, accessories, equipment and supplies in accordance with firm purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions. 
  • Serve as liaison with building landlord.  Oversee maintenance of office space, common space, furniture and accessories.  Assure office equipment is maintained and repairs handled quickly. 
  • Serves as liaison between consultants and external contacts. Assists in channeling requests, scheduling appointments and meetings, and resolving conflicts. Ensures project consultants have accurate and timely information in preparation of meetings and day to day business activities. 
  • Coordinates, processes, and edits data from a variety of sources. Prepares reports and presentations, creating supporting charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and databases.  
  • Independently researches and prepares information for special projects as assigned.  
  • Drafts confidential correspondence, edits documents, prepares meeting minutes, etc. in support of project activities.  
  • Operates standard office equipment such as: personal computer and appropriate software packages, facsimile machine, calculator, etc.  
  • Schedules travel arrangements, coordinates meetings and conferences ensuring consultants meet commitments. Calculates and submits expense reports as necessary.  
  • Monitors office supplies and initiates orders as needed.  
  • Provides other direct support functions as necessary 

You Have

  • A business degree and 3-5 years of experience as an Office Manager or Executive Administrative Assistant
  • High proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  SharePoint experience is desirable. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills – written and oral 
  • Excellent people skills 
  • Critical thinking skills – able to use judgment in prioritizing requests of professionals and clients, and problem resolution 
  • Project Management skills – able to independently manage small projects 
  • Negotiation skills 
  • Proven successful knowledge and understanding of office operations and be able to develop, devise, and document and implement plans and systems 
  • Possess leadership and management skills 

Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $60,000 - $75,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
