Overview

Are you looking to kickstart your career in data analytics? Our Healthcare Analytics practice group is looking for a highly motivated “data minded” intern to join our team and provide end-to-end data management services to government and private clients. We have a well-established stream of business and you will have an opportunity to work on variety of projects including but not limited to; enterprise data management strategy, data quality and system analysis, design and development of data integration, warehousing, business intelligence, and reporting solutions, as well as analytical projects. We're seeking studenets up for a challenge with a passion for excellence. Our work environment is collegial and stimulating with supportive colleagues who work collaboratively in achieving client and firm success. This position can be based in our Portland, ME or Manchester, NH office

You Will

  • Work with clients and members of the BerryDunn team to analyze systems, gather requirements, map data pipelines, and assess data quality.
  • Use database, analytic programming, and ETL tools to implement and maintain data management and warehousing solutions and create valuable data analytics assets for assigned clients.
  • Perform data quality analysis, investigate and resolve unusual findings.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into data analysis and management plan specifications.
  • Develop and deliver reports and analytic applications using suitable business intelligence or custom tools to meet client needs.
  • Participate in all aspects of planning, analysis, design, and development of data management, data integration, data warehouse, and business intelligence solutions.

You Have

  • Currently enrolled in a BA/MS program in one of the following: computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or another discipline with substantial quantitative coursework
  • Experience with database programming, data warehouse ETL development, or analytic programming, such as in Microsoft SQL Server or SAS is a plus
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI etc. and working with cloud-based technologies
  • Interest in developing a wide range of data analytics skills to be applied across multiple, diverse projects in a changing environment
  • Strong critical thinker with attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals

Compensation Details

The hourly rate for this role is $28 per hour. This rate represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final rate may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The rate of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
