Overview

As a Maine-based firm, BerryDunn is looking to expand our local team. BerryDunn is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Medicaid Practice Group that will have an initial focus supporting New England client(s) as a Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead. As part of our consulting team focused on State Medicaid Agency (SMA) clients, you’ll leverage your organizational change management expertise, along with project management and Medicaid knowledge to help Medicaid agencies improve the health and lives of individuals. You’ll also be the success partner for Medicaid agencies in building healthier communities and stronger futures.

 

BerryDunn is seeking an individual with experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM), preferably in state government, health IT, and the Health and Human Services (HHS) industry. This individual will oversee the identification, development, and implementation of OCM activities in support of the Medicaid Enterprise and it’s supporting people and processes The OCM Lead will be responsible for the management, reporting, and achievement of project objectives, management of their team, and management of the project areas’ activities, schedule, quality, and resources related to OCM. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated State HHS IT OCM and project management background with experience in Medicaid provider enrollment, claims processing, member eligibility and enrollment, and/or financial management.

 

This position can be remotely-based or in our office in Portland, Maine. You will report to and partner with senior leaders in our Medicaid team both for client work, career development, and development of your coworkers. With a growth mindset, you will drive your development with the support of a learning and development culture. You will report to senior leaders in the MPG and will help clients nationally with your initial focus being on our clients in New England.

 

Travel Expectations: Up to 50% travel to client sites is anticipated to support projects.

You Will

  • Manage ongoing stakeholder management and engagement efforts both inside and outside of the organization.
  • Advise whether the scope and schedule of project change requests are achievable within the given time and budget.
  • Update project documentation consistently and conveying updates to senior management
  • Apply theoretical, managerial, and technical skills to fulfill identified objectives and deliverables.
  • Consul on issues associated with the project with the project management team, client, and other interested parties.
  • Develop positive relationships with fellow team members and the client.
  • Develop communication plans that articulate the benefits of change, address concerns, and provide regular updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conduct frequent, clear, and consistent communication with the client, team members, vendor, and direct reports.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver training programs that empower employees to embrace change and enhance their skills.
  • Identify potential resistance and obstacles to change, and proactively develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct post-implementation evaluations and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Initiate and maintain frequent collaboration with team members across workstreams and initiatives.

You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree (a bachelor’s degree can be replaced with an additional four (4) years related experience).
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated MES OCM expertise.
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience in OCM Lead role supporting a State Medicaid Agency or a large healthcare provider management organization of a similar size.
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently facilitate meetings and present complex concepts to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and thrive in an ambiguous and changing environment

Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $95,000.00 - $125,000.00. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
