ERP Project Manager, Senior Consultant

Our State Government Practice Group (SGPG) is looking for Senior Consultant who has technical experience implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions and/or providing project oversight services for ERP solution implementation projects to join our team working on various such projects for State government agencies across the nation. You will bring your experience in running/assessing waterfall, Agile, and hybrid Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and developing/assessing related artifacts to help state agency clients plan for, procure, and implement ERP solutions—which may include acting as manager/lead or technical analyst. 


Travel Expectations: Although BerryDunn consultants are currently not travelling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, at least 50% travel to client sites is anticipated in the future to support projects. 


As a project oversight manager/lead or technical analyst, for state client ERP solution implementation projects, you will: 

  • Lead and support the delivery of services to clients on time, within scope, and within budget including assigning and managing staff and creating work products 
  • Coordinate task assignments that are in alignment with a vendor’s project plan 
  • Communicate project and delivery status to our client, team members, and other stakeholders, including the facilitation of client meetings 
  • Navigate and document decision making processes on behalf of our client within the project’s established governance structure 
  • Attend project meetings, in order to identify any areas of concern, new risks and issues, or risks and issues that are not being mitigated/remediated effectively 
  • Review and analyze project management (e.g., project management and subsidiary plans) and technical (e.g., requirements traceability matrices, configuration management plans, and design documents) project artifacts and deliverables, in order to assist with risk/issue identification and alignment with project and industry standards and best practices 
  • Review and analyze project documents and work products for quality, accuracy, completeness, and adherence to contractual and functional/technical requirements and project and industry standards and best practices 
  • Formulate recommendations for addressing risks/issues/gaps identified 
  • Contribute to and/or draft status and project deliverable/artifact review reports 
  • Present findings to the project team and/or executive leadership bodies 

As an SGPG team member, you will: 

  • Participate in marketing and business development activities, including writing blog posts, attending conferences, participating in industry groups, leading/participating in prospective client business development meetings, reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assisting with go/no-go decision-making, and developing responses to RFPs in collaboration with BerryDunn’s Business Development team 



You Have: 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience implementing ERP solutions and/or providing IV&V/project oversight/QMS/QA/QC and/or providing technical analyst services for ERP solution implementation projects (experience with Workday and/or Oracle solutions a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience leading implementation and/or IV&V/project oversight/QMS/QA/QC teams
  • Demonstrated experience in running/assessing waterfall, Agile, and hybrid Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and developing/assessing related artifacts to help state agency clients plan for, procure, and implement ERP solutions
  • Knowledge of quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Experience managing challenging projects and serving clients
  • Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner
  • Ability to use problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills to identify project risks/issues and provide recommendations to address them
  • Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with diverse teams
  • Ability to communicate project risks/issues, and recommendations for addressing them, in a positive and constructive manner
  • Ability to draft project status reports and client communications in a professional and positive/constructive manner
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft (MS) applications, including MS Project
  • PMI/IIBA/Scrum/Agile certifications a plus
  • Advanced degree a plus
