Our Consulting Team is looking for an IV&V Project Manager to join our team in serving Medicaid and human services clients. You will support and advise clients in project management of systems, policy, and organizational projects. Your first project will be supporting the state of Oklahoma as part of an Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) project, and you will serve as the project manager for the team.


Travel Expectations: Candidates must be willing to travel 50 percent of the time for future projects.


You will:

  • Provide onsite management of the project and serve as the chief liaison to the client for design, development, and project implementation activities, as well as the project’s maintenance and operational phase.
  • Able to make day-to-day project decisions.
  • Responsible for facilitating the project by using the project management processes, organizing the project, and managing the teamwork activities consistent with the approved work plan.
  • Responsible for scheduling and reporting project activities, identifying resource requirements well in advance, coordinating use of personnel resources, identifying issues and solving problems, and facilitating implementation of the services.
  • Shall host bi-weekly onsite status meetings, monthly milestone meetings, as well as interim meetings as needed.
    • Will assign Contractor staff to those meetings as appropriate.
    • Will provide an agenda and develop minutes for each meeting.
  • Possess business expertise in IV&V for MMIS modularization.
  • Provide expert guidance ensuring that policy and business rules as defined by the client are correctly implemented in the Contractor’s solution.
  • Advise the client regarding best practices and recommends modifications to business processes to improve the overall program.


You have:

  • PMP
  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience for a government or private sector health care payer.
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner required.
  • Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and diverse constituencies and work independently as well as collaboratively as required
  • Strong written and verbal communication including tactful communications with difficult messages
  • Ability to review compliance language and perform gap analysis
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and organizational skills required.
  • Knowledgeable in quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated proactive problem management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a team setting.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
