BerryDunn is looking for a thoughtful, creative, and success-oriented Business Valuation Analyst to join our Valuation Services Group as we work with our clients, predominantly privately held business owners. As our Business Valuation Analyst, you bring a passion for analyzing and solving problems, strong attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. You will demonstrate flexibility, a willingness to ask for advice, and a genuine desire to learn. Our valuation practice provides valuation services for management planning, merger and acquisitions, financial reporting, gift and estate planning, reorganizations, and dispute resolutions. This position is based in our Portland, ME, Bangor, ME, Manchester, NH or Waltham, MA office locations.

You will:

• Perform company, industry and economic research
• Prepare financial analysis of companies
• Develop and review cash flow forecasts
• Perform benchmark analyses
• Assess operational profitability and financial condition
• Prepare analysis of comparable transactions for valuation purposes
• Navigate public and private company databases and filings
• Document work product in an organized manner
• Prepare narrative reports to present and support valuation opinions
• Prepare exhibits to illustrate complex issues
• Ensure quality control over work product
• Assist team members in project preparation and delivery  

You have:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related area
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team  
• Basic knowledge and experienced in MS Office programs, including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field
