Overview

BerryDunn is seeking a Consultant to join our Consulting Team in the Local Government Practice Group, which focuses on providing service to Health and Human Service agencies within Local Government.  This team provides consulting services in Public Health, healthcare management, strategic plan development and technology planning. This role reports into senior leaders in the Local Government Practice Area and can work onsite in one of our regional offices or work remotely from a major metropolitan area in the US.

 

Travel Expectations:  Although BerryDunn consultants are currently not travelling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, future travel to client sites can range up to 50%

Responsibilities

You Will:

 

Bring your public health experience to support delivery of the following services:

  • Support BerryDunn services for clients in Local Government Public Health and Human Service disciplines; primarily offering Public Health Consulting services, with a focus on public health structure, organization development, operations, strategy, and technology.
  • Provide expertise in Public Health business processes, organizational structure, staffing, and program and service delivery.
  • Facilitate meetings and interviews with client stakeholders to assess current environment and identify challenges and develop solutions and recommendations based on experience and industry best practices.
  • Lead and support delivery of services to clients on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of US Public health infrastructure, programs, regulations, funding sources and current public health trends.
  • Provide Continuous Process Improvement and Cultural Change Management
  • Participate in staff/team meetings and training and work effectively as a team player on multiple client projects

Qualifications

You Have:

  • Minimum 3 years of operational experience in a Public Health setting.
  • Experience with Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) framework

  • Experience conducting Local Public Health System Assessments (LPHSA)
  • Experience conducting Community Health Assessments (CHA) or Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIP)
  • Bachelor's Degree. (LMSW, LCSW or MSW preferred but not required)
  • Adept at using MS Office Suite. ( Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (written and verbally) to develop, review, and execute deliverables and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations/workflow in a Public Health setting with current knowledge of US healthcare policy.
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner.
  • Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and diverse constituencies and to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Willingness to join meetings based on our clients’ time zones required
