BerryDunn is seeking a Senior Consultant/Project Manager for our Phoenix, AZ office to support our West Coast and Mid-West clients and, prospects.

  • Identify, create, drive and deliver innovative strategies to generate opportunities with new and existing Project services clients
  • Work closely with the Practice leadership to identify new opportunities and, enhance and integrate project management services
  • Lead client teams across the strategy lifecycle from strategy formulation to the design of large-scale transformation programs.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, develop and implement project activities to achieve project and client goals
  • Mentor the Project practice team to improve processes, procedures and standards
  • Lead and/or support compliance effort, analyzing requirements, assessing deliverables, communicating findings to client and CMS
  • Provides consultation on implementation of project management practices based on client maturity, preferences, and highest value project management functions for the specific client
  • Build relationships with key partners, client’s decision makers and internal relationships to strengthen and grow the sales opportunities and project solution delivery
  • Ability to lead team of consultants to complete project activities, establish procedures, and manage schedule
  • Prepare and/or edit status reports, executive briefings, and presentations
  • Develop and maintain the client’s project frameworks, methodologies, and information
  • Provide project progress information and metric reporting to the Project’s Governing Board and other stakeholders
  • Interact with team members for preparation of progress report, submission of deliverables, and action items
  • Allocate resources between various tasks based on priorities and negotiations
  • Identify potential risks and issues to project success
  • Facilitate meetings
  • Develop and present high quality client communications, both written and verbal

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) and a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated PMO experience directing large complex portfolios of projects in the Medicaid or Health and Human Services Governmental space
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in serving clients as a strategic advisor
  • Experience balancing multiple assignments and achieving quality results in a timely manner
  • Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and diverse constituencies and work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication including tactful communications with difficult messages
  • Ability to review compliance language and perform gap analysis
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Tolerance for working in ambiguous, uncertain environments
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • Knowledgeable in quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated proactive problem resolution management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor project teams and change initiatives
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness and desire to travel 50%

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medicaid and/or Healthcare IT experience
  • Past experience with Medicaid information systems or claims processing
  • IV&V and/or project management experience
